In recent weeks we encountered a sporadically occurring intermittent technical issue involving the integration of the UIPanel assembly (which includes the pen sensor) with some versions of the most recent MacBook Pro base systems. (The UIPanel assembly has been discussed in previous updates.)

Over the years, we have seen similar issues pop up, and we initially devised procedures to catch and fix them, and later — beginning with the Modbook Pro — to identify them during development and entirely prevent them from manifesting in any shipped system.

The team is still putting finishing touches on the system’s electronics, cabling, and integration of the pen tablet system. There is also work going on for the rear-mounted Keybars and Keyboard Stand.
